We are a noncommercial nongovernmental organization in Novosibirsk State University, Siberia, Russia. Our main goal is to broaden cultural understanding and communications between Russia and Japan on common people's level.

Every year we participate and undertake many activities dealing with politics, economy and culture of our countries. Through correspondence and student exchange program we try to find out more about Japan, its culture and history. We believe that such activities as "home stays", public discussions as long as different researches help to understand another culture and to master language skills, which is very important in the century to come. We also regularly organize so called "Evenings of Japanese culture", which are parties devoted to some specific areas of Japanese life. On those "Evenings" we try to invite Japanese visiting our city and help them to get used to Russian culture and way of living. The members of the Club are divided into several workgroups, studying society, history, economics of Japan  and other subjects.
