Our Pride
Over the last forty-three years NSU has trained over 30 thousand scholars, educators and business people.
Every fourth of them has become a Candidate of Sciences (PhD), every fortieth is a Doctor of Sciences,
and 22 graduates are members of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Our graduates work all over the world: in the USA and Canada, Argentina and Brazil, Mexico and Australia,
Japan and Israel, the UK and China, Italy and Turkey. NSU graduates have gone on to become professors at
Stanford, University of California (Berkeley), University of California (Los Angeles), Cornell, Yale,
University of Chicago and Harvard.
NSU graduates have also contributed to research in preeminent research institutions
such as Brookhaven National Laboratory, FermiLab and Los Alamos National Laboratory, to name a few.
Many NSU graduates work in the Russian administrative sphere. For example, Yury Skorinov
and Sergei Pavlenko work in the President Administration, Leonid Bochin is the Minister of Ecology.
Gennady Pozdnyakov works in the Ministry of National Affairs, Dmitry Verkhovod is the deputy head
of the Administration of Novosibirsk Region and the chairman of the Committee on State Property Control,
Dmitry Tolstyakov is the main financial officer of NovosibirskEnergo and so on.
Many NSU graduates are successful in various spheres of business in Russia. Aleksey Sitnikov
is the president of "Image-contact" company, one of the Russian first-rate consulting structure,
an acknowledged leader in the field of political consulting, election campaigns, socio-psychological
and marketing investigations. Azat Kurmanaev is the president of "Bashcreditbank", the bank in the
Republic of Bashkortostan. Sergei Kazakov is the general executive of the joint-stock company
"Interneft. Alexander Samusev is the general executive of the joint-stock company "Northern Oil".
Valery Samotaev is the deputy chairman of the management of the Moscow bank “On the Red Gates”.
Igor Boldirev is the general executive of the company "EnergoResource". Igor Kim is the chairman
of the management of "Sibakadembank", the bank in Novosibirsk. This list can be easily continued.
Many NSU graduates work for international companies like Microsoft, SUN Microsystems,
Hewlett Packard and Novosoft.
