Specialised Scientific Study Centre With A Physical-mathematical And
A Chemical-biological bias (SSC NSU)

SSC was created in 1988 from the physical-mathematical boarding school organised in 1963
by Academician M.A. Lavrentiev. Every August a Summer School is organised for high-school
age students and enrolment in SSSC depends on the results of examinations passed at
that Summer School.
Fields of intensive training: physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology,
computer science, economics.

Advanced College Of Information Sciences Of NSU (ACI NSU)
:
ACI was created in 1991 on a base of Novosibirsk Polytechnical School.
Admission is possible for high-school students who finished either ninth or eleventh grades of
secondary school. There are night classes and a correspondence school of computer science and
programming for the school children grades 7-9. Every year ACI conducts a Summer school of
Computer Science in order to find gifted young people and to involve them in the field of
computer science. ACI is developing a special program “Young programmers of Siberia” to assist
to youth in studying the field of computer science and to develop the contest movement.
Fields of training: physical and engineering information, information systems,
economics information, biological information.
