Scientific-Research activity
Scientific work in various prioritised scientific fields is being conducted by faculty
members in laboratories and in the Scientific Research Section.
Scientific Research Section (SRS)
Research sections: atmospheric research, applied physics, chemistry and biology,
systems of industrial information and automated systems, organisation of scientific research,
protection of intellectual property and copyrights, chemical information.
Laboratories: geology and geophysics, laser systems, laser physics, mathematical
simulation, physical electronics, research in the humanities, technology and organisation of
teaching, system software, data processing systems etc.

Centre of New Information Technologies (CNIT)
Fields of activity: Organizing and developing information technology at NSU, in coordination
with regional and federal programs. Development and support of an open information system at NSU
with support for the projection and establishment of information network structures.
Support for information infrastructures of Novosibirsk institutions of higher learning.
Support and development of NSU cable television. Creation and development of corporate
and regional networks. Formation of regional information resources in the fields of education
and culture. Professional information and statistical databases.
