Chair of Applied Mathematics

The Chair of Applied Mathematics was founded in 1981. The students of the chair major in qualitative theory of differential equations and related issues of modern analysis. Major areas (starting with 1981):

  1. Spectral theory of differential equations
  2. Theory of evolutionary problems
  3. Hydrodynamic equations

Some of the main objectives of the Chair are the following:

  • to provide high level of main courses of Mathematical and Functional Analysis;
  • to graduate specialists with fundamental mathematical knowledge perfectly able both to conduct theoretical research and to solve specific problems of Mathematical Physics.

The training is performed by qualified specialists who work in research institutes of The Siberian Branch of The Russian Academy of Sciences.
