Chair of Computing Mathematics

The chair was founded in 1961 by L.V. Kantorovich, the member of The USSR Academy of Sciences, Nobel Prize Laureate. The chair’s research priorities are:

  • Computational solutions of elliptic boundary conditions;
  • Variation difference methods;
  • Statistical methods of solving of mathematical physics problems;
  • Computing techniques of linear algebra;
  • Computational solution of differential equations;
  • Approximation theory and computer graphics.
