Founded in 1960, the chair of Analytical Chemistry is one of the first academic chairs at NSU.

During the study of theoretical courses, students gain knowledge about analytical chemistry as a science of principles and methods of substances analysis, as well as analytical chemistry as a service, which is widely used not only in chemical research, but also in various areas of human activity.

In practical lessons students are introduced to the chemical and physic-chemical methods of analysis.

The chair provides practical courses on methods of separation and identification, quantitative analysis, electrochemical, chromatographic and optical methods of analysis.

Since 1999, the chair has started graduating students that has allowed preparing specialists in analytical chemistry for the institutes of The Siberian Branch of RAS as well as for various state and non-state control departments.
