The article is devoted to issues related to the use of digital media fixation with the conduct of investigative actions, especially design forensically important information staff expert divisions. In this connection, attention is drawn to the classification of the forms of fixation, which offered forensic scientists. The authors noted that this form of fixation in daily activities is used as an extra in the production of various investigative procedures (inspection of the scene, investigative experiment, presentation for identification, etc.), But it will not only contribute to their effectiveness, objectivity, credibility and visibility, but also the efficiency and cost-effectiveness. At the same time, the authors note that its use is not without drawbacks. To some extent, this is due to the lack of guidelines on the procedure for applying tools of digital capture and computer technology in the production and presentation of the results of the investigation. At the end of the article concludes that the process of implementing the methods and techniques of digital media in the practice of fixing investigation of crimes requires a good knowledge of the features and principles of operation of digital hardware. In the context of continuous improvement
and innovation in forensic techniques require deeper, special knowledge in their application and use.
