The article provides the information on the ways of obtaining the reference spectrogram required for a number of tasks of atomic spectroscopy. It covers the advantages and disadvantages of classic atlases of spectra and spectrograms of the reference samples used in the devices of the spectral analysis. The author considers the possibility of constructing the spectrograms on a database of radiation transitions and of using them as reference ones. He also describes a software component for obtaining such spectrograms – spectrograph emulator – and its realization in the information system «Electronic structure of atoms».
