Pharmacy - in English

Description

NSU’s Pharmacy Program focuses on providing a strong foundation in topics related to the pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice. Graduates can readily apply this fundamental knowledge to their future employment, whether that is in pharmacy practice, hospital service, the healthcare business, the pharmaceutical industry, or research. The current introduction of personalized treatment approaches based on molecular biology and genetic knowledge inspired the development of the Program with a profound education in the natural sciences. The curriculum is enriched with experiential learning in the form of laboratory training, interactive flipped classroom learning models and one-on-one coaching on professional skills. The early involvement of students in ongoing research projects is encouraged. The final year (Year 5) includes the completion a research project.

Program Goal

The Pharmacy Program’s primary goal is to provide the relevant knowledge and skills required to enter the profession. Graduates are specially trained to be knowledgeable in all aspects of drugs. The knowledge required is multidisciplinary and varies from the properties and actions of drugs, to the technology and science associated with the production of a drug, and, finally, for the rational use of a drug to optimize therapeutic results in patients.
