Japan in the context of Asian culture and history

As part of the annual X International Seminar on the History and Culture of Japan, the Department of Oriental Studies of the Institute for the Humanities of NSU is once again pleased to host their Japanese colleagues from the Center for Northeast Asian Studies (CNEAS) of Tohoku University (Sendai): Professor Oka Hiroki (History of China and Mongolia, Center for Northeast Asian Studies), Professor Yoshitaka Kanomata (Archaeology, Graduate School of Arts and Letters, Tohoku University) and Professor Daisuke Sato (Japanese History, International Research Institute of Disaster Sciences, Tohoku University).

As always, the schedule of the Japanese guests’ visit will include lectures in Japanese and English (with translation), participation in scientific discussions, as well as participation in the academic and scientific seminar with 3rd and 4th year Japanese course students.
