Achieving better learning outcomes with Cambridge English Empower
This is a presentation of Cambridge English Empower, the new adult course from Cambridge English. Using examples from the course, this presentation will showcase the course methodology and approach to motivating adult learners, the unique online assessment and practice package, the principles of Learning Oriented Assessment, and how Cambridge English Empower can deliver better learning outcomes.

Chris has worked in ELT since 1990 as a teacher, trainer, director of studies, editor, and publisher. He is currently Publishing Manager in the ELT Adult team at Cambridge University Press, working on Cambridge English Empower. He has taught adults in Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, Greece, and the UK, and has worked as an oral examiner for the Cambridge English main suite exams.

Sarah Unsworth
Assessment Group Manager at Cambridge English Language Assessment
Sarah has substantial experience in the field of teaching, learning and assessment and a keen interest in the area of Learning Oriented Assessment. She worked for many years as an English Language teacher and teacher trainer in Germany and the UK and is currently working for Cambridge English Language Assessment on a Learning Oriented Assessment project.
