Curriculum vitae: Jean-Raphaël Chaponnière worked as an economist at the Agence Française de Développement, a state-owned financial institution operating in Africa, Asia and Latin America to fight poverty and support sustainable development; Was an economic adviser to the French embassy in the Republic of Korea and in Turkey; For 25 years he was engaged in research at the National Center for Scientific Research of France (CNRS). One of recent publication is an “Developing Economies in Asia: between Market and State” (Les économies émergentes d’Asie, entre Etat et marché, Armand Colin, 270 pages, 2014).
