Novosibirsk State University won gold in one of the five nominations at the 11th QS-APPLE conference and exhibition, organized by the famous British education organisation QS compiling the QS World University Rankings.
QS-APPLE (Quacquarelli Symonds Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education Conference) held its 11th conference and exhibition in Melbourne, Australia, on Nov 25-27, 2015. QS Asia-Pacific Professional Leaders in Education is the prime conference and exhibition for international educators in Asia, Europe, America and Australasia. QS-APPLE has established itself as the major higher education conference and exhibition that improves international recognition of universities in the Asia-Pacific – reinforcing its mission of building world-class universities for regional communities through global partnership and collaboration.
The 11th conference, which welcomed academics from nearly 200 institutions in 39 countries, was devoted to new directions in Asia-Pacific higher education focusing on challenges and opportunities.
One of the events at the conference was a competition for the 11th QS-APPLE Creative Awards, which are to recognize the importance of creative and compelling designs in effective communication and brand building. Novosibirsk State University became the best with its promotional brochure introducing foreign applicants to the University.
The QS ranking of Universities being among the most reliable and meaningful in the world, Novosibirsk State University improved its positions from 328 to 317 in 2015. The University became the third out of the Russian universities in the list leaving behind Bauman Moscow State Technical University and becoming the first of the Project 5-100 universities in the ranking.
