Vladimir Shiltsev, an NSU alumnus and the President of the NSU Alumni Association Soyuz, together with Stonybrook University Professor and Brookhaven National Laboratory Historian Robert Crease, was recognized for the scholarly research of Mikhail Lomonosov’s heritage in physics and astronomy and elected an honorary member of the Lomonosov Foundation.
Over the past years, V. Shiltsev and R. Crease published a number of articles on various accomplishments of Mikhail Lomonosov, “the father of Russian science”, in physics and astronomy. They conducted numerous lectures and seminars at various institutions in Russia (NSU; the Sternberg Astronomical Institute, also known as GAISh, Moscow; Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov, or NArFU, Arkhangelsk, etc.), in Europe (CERN) and the United States (Fermilab, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, etc.)
The Lomonosov Foundation was established in 1992 by Northern Arctic Federal University in Arkhangelsk, Russia. It recognizes some prominent scientists for their contribution in science, culture and education connected with the Lomonosov’s heritage. In 2016, seven researchers became honorary members of the Foundation.
The Foundation, a public interregional organization that conducts a great deal of educational activities, currently has more than 118 institutions and organizations in Finland, Germany, Russia, Sweden, the United States and other countries as its collective members and more than 150 individual members from different countries.

Завершается прием документов на новую образовательную программу НГУ для топ-специалистов в сфере искусственного интеллекта. Программа реализуется с этого года на базе Института интеллектуальной робототехники НГУ.
В рамках визита они встретились с руководством экономического факультета, чтобы обсудить направления развития сотрудничества вузов двух стран.
